10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Avast, me hearties, and gather ye round! Meet and greet your fellow geocachers while watching the horror show that is Capt. Bill's golf game.
This year, we will be holding this event at Auburn Center Golf Club. This is a nine hole, executive length course. There is a miniature golf course available for the wee cachers in your party. This course is a favorite of the entire SalemPirates crew.
There is no need for reserved tee times, the friendly staff at Auburn Center Golf Club are aware of this event and will get the golfers on their way quickly. There is no food service at this facility but soft drinks are available for purchase.
The SalemPirates are amassing a chest filled with plunder to give away during the course of this event. Rare, one-of-a-kind treasures and trinkets, some never before seen in these waters, yarrrr!
Compass Coins, a high quality geocoin design company, decided to help sponsor the 2009 Pirate Open by donating some of their beautiful geocoins to our event. Be sure to check them out on the web.
Ye can follow the adventures of the SalemPirates on Twitter for the latest news about this event.
No golfing is required to log this event, just sail by for some "tales of the trail" and meet your fellow geocachers.
A special thanks to geocacher 606 for coming up with the name for this event! You can visit her geocache at Pirate Open.
