Palasin lapsuuteni vanhoihin leikkimaisemiin tämän "aikuisten aarteenetsintäleikin" muodossa. Kytövuoren vuori on kautta aikain vetänyt puoleensa paikallista nuorisoa ja siellä on aikanaan ollut mm. poikien hyppyrimäki talvisin. Minun aikanani rinteillä kasvoi sankka kuusimetsä ja tuntui seikkailulta olla niin keskellä "erämaata" ja "kaukana kotoa". Kätkön paikalla on vanhempaakin historiallista arvoa. Kansalaissota 1918 ravisutti myös Tyrväätä, nykyistä Sastamalaa. Illonkin alueella paikallisten punaisten ja valkoisten kesken käytiin kovia taisteluita. Kerrotaan, että Kytövuoren vuorella tapahtuneiden yhteenottojen aikana jyrkänteeltä putosi tai heitettiin alas sotilaita ja mm. paikallisen maatalon isäntä sai näin surmansa. Kätköpaikalle on aikoinaan koottu melko kookas kivikasa. Ota mukaasi kätkölle mennessäsi kivi, jonka jaksat kantaa pari sataa metriä, ei kuitenkaan nyrkkiä pienempi. Jätä kivi kätköpurkista nähden vasemmalle paikalla olevan kivikasan lähelle. Tarkoituksena on, että kätköilijöiden tuomista kivistä rakentuu pikkuhiljaa toinen kivikasa entisen viereen. Älä jätä kiveäsi jo olemassa olevaan isoon kasaan. *** I returned to place where I used to play in my childhood. Kytövuoren vuori (Kytövuori's "mountain") has always been the popular place as a play area for local kids. There used to be for example a ski jump for local boys in winter time. In my times there where a dark spruce forrest around the area and it felt like a adventure to be there in the "midle of nowhere" and "far away from home". The area also has a longer history. In 1918 there was the civil war in Finland. It was most aggressive in this part of Finland and also here even neighbours were fightning against each others. There have told the stories about the warfares in Kytövuoren vuori and how some of the soldiers were falled or pushed down from the cliff. For example the local farmer died like this in warfare. There is a quite big heap made of stones in the cache place. When you are walking to place, take with you the big stone you can carry about 200 meters but not smaller than your fist. Leave the stone to the left from the cache container near to the big stone heap. The idea is that there will be another stone heap made of geocachers. Don't leave your stone to the big heap.
