A simple multicache that will only take a few minutes and offers lovely views.
My first cache.
Virtually a drive by, despite being a multicache.
The imposing Florentine Lion Gates have paired, cubed lodges flanked by balustraded screen walls and provide the entrance to Prestonhall. Which is a fine 17th Century Georgian house and Scottish architect Robert Mitchell's finest remaining work.
This cache should only take a few minutes.
Park at the roadside, N55 52.528 W002 58.336.
Approach the gates and deduce the following
Let A = the number of Lions legs.
Let B = the number of gates.
Let C = the number of balls, or probably more accurately, the number of globes.
These numbers should add up to 11.
Let D = B+C
The cache is at N55 5(B-C).DAD W002 5(A+C).D(B-C)A
As you walk to the cache site and go where witches cannot, pause to take in the view.
