My first published cache!!
Thank you Cosmic * Cachers for the opportunity to participate in remembering our “little friends”.
I grew up with cocker spaniels. There were four total before it just got too hard to keep saying goodbye to the family pet. Cracker was the last of four in my family as I grew up. He lived a good life…a loved life, but he sure had his share of issues to deal with, the last being attacked by a Rotweiller (no offense intended to those who own one). When it came time to put him down and ease his pain, it was time to say goodbye to the last cocker spaniel to grace our lives. If you empathize you can visit his unmarked grave nearby at N 41° 48.163 W 90° 14.842, and that is why I decided to place this cache here – so close to where all of our family pets have been buried.
Cache is on private property with permission. This cache is located in a fairly wide open area, with lots of muggles nearby, so some stealth is required. My hint (should you need it) is also an invitation. If you use your keen observation skills, you may notice that I am very close by (during the weekdays-this is where I work). Come on in and say hello!
Cache has a log only. Please bring your own writing instrument.
I set this at difficulty 1.5 only because a non-seasoned cacher may have trouble finding it. It's not quite a "park and grab". Please replace as found, otherwise it makes it too easy for the next cacher and subjects the cache to the elements.
