Geocache Description:

Sunday August 30th from Noon to 3pm. Join us at beautiful Hillendale Park In Oregon City for an afternoon meet and greet of fellow geocachers in the area. There will be some fun and games as well as some educational information about geocaching for newcomers.

The Geocacher's Exploring Oregon (GEO) organization will be selling their really nice new Oregon Sesquicentennial Geocoins at the Lemonade Social. To find out the cost and what they look like, see their homepage: (visit link)

Lemonade! Hotdogs! Cookies!

Water Balloon Games!
and Even More Games to Test your Skills!

We'll also have a Team Challenge with a COOL twist!
Will your team win the LEMON TROPHY ?

We'll finish up the day with a Door Prize drawing!

Try to find time to visit with the other geocachers and have a hot dog or two.

There are soap bubbles and temporary tattoos for the kids.

A couple of play structures are nearby as well as a volleyball court. We'll bring a volleyball in case anyone wants to play.

See the 'Who Are They??' board which contains pictures representing geocacher's names. Is your caching name there?

Some Geocaching printed materials will be available if people want some beginner info about this game we all enjoy.

The Dead Battery Bucket will be there, so save up your dead batteries and bring them to the event for recycling.

There are some picnic tables at the park, but you might want to bring your own lawn chairs.

As in years past, we'll have Lemonade, cookies and Hotdogs for your refreshment. ($1.00 donation per hotdog requested).

We have a package of Tofu dogs for non-meat eaters.

o A fully stocked Ammo Can (not stocked with Ammo, but geocaching stuff!)
o An Automobile Travelbug Sticker
o Starbucks Coffee Beans
o Garmin Geko 101 GPSr - great for introducing someone to caching
o A variety of Squirt Guns
o Book: "How to hide almost anything"
o Geocacher's Trail Essentials Kitbag packed with lotsa good stuff!!!!!

UPDATE: We've been informed that a local law enforcement agency will be conducting some drills at this park on the same day/time of our event. They will be using fake weapons. Hopefully we'll be far enough away from them that we don't notice them, but if you are bringing small children to this event, you may want to discuss this situation with them before coming to the park.
