How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
To access this cache the use of a kayak or canoe IS required!
although once on the isle the cache shouldnt be too hard to find.
Duck island is a small island on the Llyn Brenig resivoir, that was created by accident when the resovoir was created.
This island is a real beauty spot that is practically never visited by anybody except the odd fisherman.
Swimming is banned in this resovoir for obvious safety reasons, as is a kayak canoe or rubber dinghy of some sort is required for crossing the short space of water to the isle.
All that is on the isle is trees and a pebble beach that houses some of the best skimming stones around.
APPARENTLY THERE IS ABSOLUTLELY NO WAY WE ARE ALLOWED TO CROSS THE WATER TO ACCESS THE ISLAND ALTHOUGH AT THE MOMENT THE WATER LEVEL OF THE RESEVOIR HAS BEEN LOWERED MEANING THAT YOU CAN WALK TO THE ISLAND ALTHOUGH WILL GET VERY MUDDY AS IT IS VERY MUDDY AND BOGGY.
I AM GOING TO LEAVE THE RATINGS ON THIS CACHE AS THEY ARE AS IT HAS NOW UNFORTUNATELY HAD TO BECOME A LIMITED TIME CACHE,.
AS SOON AS THE WATER COMES BACK UP THE CACHE WILL UNFORTUNATELY HAVE TO BE ARCHIVED UNLESS SOMEONE COMES UP WITH AN INGENIOUS METHOD OF CROSSING THE WATER..
By seeking this or any other cache placed by myself or maintained by me you accept responsibility for your own safety. Caching can be dangerous. Assess the risk for yourself before seeking this cache!
