[ENG] Nano-size cache near to Mechanical Music Museum on Varkaus. THERE IS NO PEN IN THE CACHE!

Suomen ainoa ja Pohjoismaiden suurin Mekaanisen Musiikin Museo sijaitsee Varkaudessa 5-tien varrella. Koko maailmassa mekaanisen musiikin museoita on nelisenkymmentä. Varkauden mekaanisen musiikin museo on kiehtova, kaikenikäisille sopiva matka menneisyyteen, jossa alkaa elää koko entisaikojen musiikkimaailma mekaanisine musiikki instrumentteineen: soittorasiat, mekaaniset pianot, viulut ja haitarit, posetiivit pienestä pöytämallista aina upeaan katuposetiivi Amadeukseen saakka, maailman suurin orkestrioni, 75- miehen Popper Goliath sekä lukuisat äänentoistoon ja taltiointiin käytetyt fonografit, gramofonit ja jukeboksit.

Koko mekaanisen musiikin historia vuodesta 1850 nykypäiviin saakka nähtävänä ja kuultavana.

Mielenkiintoisen ja hauskan opastuksen aikana (reilu tunti) teille esitellään suuri osa museon noin neljästäsadasta instrumentista, jotka ovat seitsemässä suuressa oman aikakautensa mukaisesti sisustetussa salissa.

The only Mechanical Music Museum in Finland is located in Varkaus along the main road 5 in the heart of the enchantingly beautiful Finnish lake district. It is the largest museum of its kind in Scandinavia and one of only 40 such museums in the whole world.

A visit to the Varkaus Mechanical Music Museum is a fascinating journey back in time for all ages. Here the music world of mechanical musical instruments of times gone by comes alive once again: music boxes, mechanical pianos, violins and accordions, hurdy-gurdies from small hand organs to the magnificent Amadeus Street organ, the 75-man Popper Goliath: the world´s largest orchestrion, as well as numerous gramophones and juke boxes used for reproducing and storing music.

The whole history of mechanical music from 1850 to the present day is to be seen and heard. During the interesting and entertaining guided tour (over 1 hour) you will see and hear most of the museum´s 400 instruments which are in seven large rooms furnished in the style of their time period.
