The fifth in a series of caches placed around Holmes Chapel Village. Holmes Chapel is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. Until 1974 it was known as Church Hulme.
There has been a church on the site since the 13th century. The present church originated about 1430 as a timber framed building with a perpendicular style sandstone west tower. The nave and chancel were encased in brick in the early 18th century. Shortly afterwards a west gallery was installed as a gift from Thomas Hall. Renovations have taken place in 1839, 1931 and 1950. The container is smaller than a film cannister and it contanins a logbook. There is no room for a pencil so please bring your own. You might need some tweezers to get the log out. Some stealth will be needed when finding the cache.
