The cache is not at the posted coordinates!
I have seen people parked and sitting in their vehicles here in the mornings occationally, I'm not sure why, but be stealthy and don't assume they are other cachers if that is the case! The difficulty is only for the puzzle, the cache hide should be easy enough to find once you're there.
I named this "Murder Mystery" for the purposes of having it sort of matching an original game as with my other game caches, but I have changed it around slightly for a more up beat type of geocaching game.
The Story
There are 5 geocachers that have come to Geowoodstock VIII here in Washington. Each of them will be counting it as a different milestone and each has brought a different geocoin to swap. They have all come from different states and ended up in the same hotel, in rooms 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5. They each use a different GPS unit, and have a specific type of cache they like to hide.
All of them have arrived and are taking time around the town just relaxing, a few of them already out getting some caches in the area so the GW VIII event can be the milestone they were counting on. One of these cachers had stopped at a restaurant with some friends to get a bite to eat and catch up on their latest caching stories. When they came back out later, they found that they had accidentally left their car doors unlocked, and their GPS was stolen!! (The family friendly "murder" part of the story.)
After a period of grief and mourning for their loss, they realized their GW experience didn't have to be completely ruined! They had just recently bought a new phone that had built in GPS!
Your mission if you choose to accept it
You feel bad when you find out about this cacher and want to invite them to go caching with you and a couple of your caching friends. Find out who is using the GPS phone?
