The Lion Rock
How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
Lion Rock is a buttress of rock overlooking Cheddar village.
You will have to walk on the lion's back to find the cache.
To reach the cache site, start in Cufic Lane which has red 24 hr access signs on the gateposts and is more or less opposite The National Trust Shop. After approx 50m up the lane, look for the signposted permissive path on the right hand side next to the National Trust Cheddar sign. Go through the gate, then immediately turn right and head across the field towards the cache coordinates.
Please do not try to approach from any other direction.
The approach to the cache area is steep with loose rocks underfoot and sheer drops nearby - please take care.
Thank you to the National Trust for granting permission to place this cache on their land
