The caches' are located on a public footpath that follows the
edge of a tranquil wood.
In the years BG (before geocaching) I used to visit these parts
regularly with 007 dog, so it seemed the natural choice for my
first hides. There are paths throughout the wood, but they are not
official public footpaths. Thus, the caches' have been placed near
the edge of the woods on a public right of way that can be accessd
via the road or through the woods.
The route can be extended into a circular (see attachment
SFW-PFP), but, there is no clear path across the crop field as the
OS map shows. Although, it is easy to walk around the edge of the
field and there are signs to show that is what people have
done.
The container is a reasonable sized small tupperware box,
containing a log book, pencil and an array of trinkets.
Other caches near-by include: Another Brick In The Wall by Steve
Zodiac (GC1E78K); Shropshire Church Gems- Edgmond by Tike and
Greygeeza (GC1VDQN); Shropshire Church Gems - Edgmond - BONUS cache
by Tike and Greygeeza (GC1VDW1). As well as my other cache;
Scrappy's favourite wood - cache 2 (GC1WME4)
