Geocache Description:

Iwashimizu-Hachimangu is one of three famous Hachimangus, standing on top of Otokoyama mountain.

Take Keihan Line train to get off Yawata-shi station. You will see a steep mountain Otokoyama just behind the station. Riding on cable-cars or walking on foot, you can visit the Iwashimizu-Hachimangu shrine on top of Otokoyama and appreciate ancient atmosphere.

A cache tupper is hidden in vicinity of the shrine main gate .

The mountain Otokoyama is also famous for the bamboo bush. The legendary inventor Thomas Edison could not have invented reliable light bulbs without filaments made of the bamboo grown here!!
