GPC12 SigsPig #1000! Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

GPComd: I've archived this cache, the space is open for something else to go in that area now. With the multi archived and the Binthair AFC webpage gone, it's not really a doable puzzle anymore.

Thanks to BMW X1 for retrieving the container (and dropping it off at my home this afternoon)[:)]

Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates.  Read on to find it...

Well, my good caching buddy Sigspig is about to hit the big ol' 1000 mark.

In recognition of this significant milestone, here's a cache that can be found, based on Sigs' caching history.

Part 1 - the research

What you will need to do is check out the posted or final/solution coords of the first cache Sigs' found in each of the categories that are counted towards total cache finds (but remember - it isn't about the numbers, is it?).  This may mean you have to go out and find a cache, depending upon how well you kept notes and records during your caching career.  The only cache types counted here are the ones he found in his first 999 caches.

Three rules to note (there's always rules, isn't there?  But you can ignore them if you wish, at your own peril):

1) Use the first virtual logged that has quote "proof positive" unquote he was actually there;

2) Ignore the degree portions (45 & 75) when doing the calculations; and

3) Find out how many days Sigspig spent on the Binthair Challenge until he became an all finds member (for the 2nd time around *cough cough*).

Part 2 - the math

Add up all the North minutes and decimals, and repeat the same for the West, giving you a big number for North and another one of West.

Divide those numbers by 9.  Ignore everything after the 3rd decimal digit (ie - don't round up or down)

Take the number of days he spent on the Binthair challenge, multiply by 0.001, and add that to both the North and West.

Then add 4.865 to those North decimals, and subtract 1.209 from the West decimals.

Plunk a N45 and W75 in front of those numbers, and you're set and ready.

Part 3 - Get It

What are you still reading for?  Go and get it!  This winter-friendly medium lock n' lock contains an unactivated Geocoin and GC pin for the First Finder.

Will Sigs hit this one as #1000?  He better, or he's on his own for caching after this!

Legal disclaimer:  There's nothing on the route to or from the cache that could possibly make Sigs fall and break his ankle again.  Except the fissures in the rocks, of course.  And maybe the twigs.  And branches.  And there was also a bit of deadfall in there.  I saw a couple of roots, and 9 thorny weeds.  There was 4 mosquitoes, but I killed them all, so the way should now be clear.  Come to think about it, maybe he should just wait until winter, and I can rename it the 'Sigspig #1026 Cache".

More legal disclaimer:  For two of the coords, there will be some variance between your answer and mine.  If you think about how the puzzle is constructed, you will see that the differences become very minor indeed, and will not effect your ability to find the cache.  The geochecker is set up to give a response of 'close' if you're in the right ballpark.
