Geocache Description:

This cache meets State Forest guidelines.

In the summer, the male American Goldfinch is bright yellow with black wings, while the female is slightly grayer. In the winter, the two are both darker. The American Goldfinch eats seeds as well as pinecones. Roving throughout the country singing "ti-dee-ti-dee," it likes to build snug little nests that can hold three to six eggs.
