Down by the River (Where Everyone Goes)
How Geocaching Works

In Waterfront Park along the Hudson River in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Cache is a small plastic micro-sized container in a ziploc baggie. There's a state quarter for the FTF!
At this park you get some great views along the Hudson. You can see Manhattan to the south and the Tappan Zee Bridge and lower Hudson Highlands to the north. There's also a playground for the little ones.
Cache is hidden well in an area I think is muggle-free, but I CITO'd a beer bottle near GZ so watch out! A previous cache in another part of the park got muggled twice, hopefully we'll fare better.
Most of the nearest parking is by permit, particularly during the week, so read the posted rules before leaving your car, or park a little further away and walk to the site. It is possible to park just a couple of hundred feet from the cache and make it a quick dash if you park at the end of the lot and it is muggle-free. Also, on weekends and holidays, there is some "free to all" parking for Metro North commuters you may be able to park at.
We hope you enjoy this place as much as we do! Happy hunting!
