Geocache Description:

The cemetery has very limited hours of operation. It is open from May 1st through November 15th. The cache will be disabled over this time period. Hours of operation are from 8am - 1pm 7 days a week.

For more information, Google: 1875 – PARK VIEW HEALTH CENTER– 2005 POTTER'S FIELD

I learned how to fly radio control airplanes south of this cemetery where the horse barn is now located. The field then moved north of the cemetery. The shed where the lawn mower was kept is still there. We use to take care of this cemetery when we tended to our field. The county took it back over and now it is a camping area.

This cache will require the use of your compass. I always carry a magnetic compass with me, for the one on my gps is slow and has a mind of its own. Have we gotten away from how to use a compass? You know, keep "red in the shed" and dial in your heading. I created this cache with Little Gamer in mind so she not only learns how to use the Colorado, but a compass, too. The clues will give you the magnetic compass direction and you will end up at a land mark in the cemetery and not in the middle of nowhere. I will give ye the paces. Now off ya git.

This cache is located in Sunnyveiw Cemetery also known as Poor Farm Cemetary and former Potter's Field located off of county road Y East of the Winnebago county fair grounds. Take the road that says Sunnyview Campground. The start of the cache is at the listed coordinates. Planted at the listed coordinates is a small wood cross/ sword. You might need it to retrieve the cache.

Paces____ = total number of spikes ___+ months the cemetery is open_____.

Alright you Squiffy, now find the cache! Remember ye sword!

Like any WSQ, if there is a service going on, then be respectful and come back later, but since the last person buried here was around May of 1906, then it should not be a problem.

Permission for this cache is on file with the Winnebago County Parks Department. I don't put pens or pencils in any of my caches, so please bring your own.

FTFers need to observe cemetery hours for credit or ye post will be force to dance the hempen jig and then we throw ye post overboard. ARRRRG! This cache is to celebrate the 900 cache find for Gamers Gone Caching. Man overboard!

By the way, the sword isn't needed to complete the cache.

Congratulations to ToyotaRyan for the FTF. Toyota is the way to go. The gamers own two:)
