New York Admin: Looks like this cache is not welcome here by the property owner. I am archiving it today but if the cache owner wishes to rework the puzzle, within the next month or so, to a new location I'd be happy to review the new spot and unarchive.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to my first geocache, Colonial Cache! It's a nice little
cache in a nice little park. However, no one comes to visit
Colonial Park (thus making it a muggle-free zone -- most of the
time).

The above coordinates lead to the entrance of the park, not the cache.

To get the coordinates to the cache, replace the letters below with the appropriate numbers from the following questions about Colonial times.

N 40° 58.ABC
W 073° 45.DEF

To check your answers to the puzzle go to the following link: (visit link)

A - What state was the first English colony located in?
2) New York
3) Virginia
4) Massachusetts

B - Why did the Pilgrims come to America?
5) Religious freedom
6) More land
7) Ordered to come by the King

C - How many English colonies were there after the French and Indian War?
2) 11
3) 13
4) 14

D - Which of the following was NOT a colony after the French and Indian War?
3) New Hampshire
4) Georgia
5) Vermont

E - John Zenger was charged with libel in...
1) 1733
2) 1734
3) 1735

*This led to the freedom of the press in the 1st Amendment, about 50 years later

F - Who was Zenger's lawyer'?
5) Andrew Hamilton
6) He had none
7) Zenger's brother

The cache is starting out with my first trackable item, "Keys to the 50 States", and some trinkets. There is a $5 gift card to a donut shop for FTF. It's great to bring kids because there is a playground. After your visit, please come again to this under-used park.

9/3/10: The cache was muggled and a slightly smaller container has taken its place. Small trading items will fit.

Congrats to slycooper459 for FTF!
