There are different ways how to get to the cache place, therefore terrain level can be different. You can get to the cache by Daugava river or go through the forest. We recommend to leave your car in the parking coordinates. In rainy weather it might be problematic to get here with regular car, but it is not impossible (as we did it).
Leave the car and go up to the river, you should find the trail and follow it for approximately ~1.5km, stay as high as possible from the river, as remember it is hill (in Latvia we call them mountains).
The cache is small container with logbook, pencil and stuff. The cache is hidden 3-4 meters from the trail, it is not located on the ground level, not under the moss and not under tree roots. You do not have to climb the trees as well. Please, be very careful to the nature around. Put the cache back on the same place and position, where you found it.
Do not forget to take all the garbage, if you have any with you.
[LV] Slēpnis atrodas Daugavpils rajona dabas parka „Daugavas loki“ teritorijā vieta, kur gar Daugavas krastu stiepjas ļoti stāvas nogāzes un paveras lielisks skats uz Daugavas ieleju. Vietu, kurā izvietots slēpnis, tautā sauc par Pliko kalnu. Kalna augstākais punkts atrodas ~150 m virs jūras līmeņa un vairāk nekā 50m virs Daugavas līmeņa.
Lai tiktu pie slēpņa, brauciet lidz norādītajai stāvvietai - šeit Jūs atradīsiet jauku "Latvijas mežu" labiekārtotu atpūtas vietu „Augšdaugava” Daugavas stavajā krastā ar superīgu ainavu. Brīdinam, ka mitrajā laikā pieklūšana līdz atpūtas vietai ar vieglo transportu var but apgrūtināta, bet nav neiespējama.
No atpūtas vietas lidz slēpnim jāiet ~1.5 km pa šauru, paugurainu un vietām aizaugušu meža taku, kas pārsvarā iet gar pašu Daugavas krasta nogāzi.
Slēpnis ir pavisam neliels konteineris ar logbuku, zīmuli un dažādām sīkajām mantiņām, paslēpts 3-4 metru attālumā no takas labi pārredzamajā vietā. Slēpnis neatrodas zemes līmenī zem saknēm, sūnām vai bīstamajās vietās krasta nogāzēs. Kokos kāpt arī nevajag. Lūdzu neaizmirstiet nomaskēt slēpni.
Atgādinam, ka atpūtas vietā un pa ceļam uz slēpni nevajadzētu atstāt tukšas pudeles, iepakojumus un citus atkritumus.
