Geocache Description:

EPMinnesota (Carol)

Made her 1,000th find: “Minnesota Challenge: Alphabet Soup” on September 21, 2009.

EPMinnesota

Congratulations to Carol on achieving 1,000 finds!

(Please include reminiscences of caching adventures with Carol, or mention your favorite EPMN hide in your log entry.)

Like Speedysk1, I met EPMinnesota (Carol) at my first WNC. It was fun to meet the person behind all the great caches I had been cutting my teeth on in the Eden Prairie / Chanhassen area. A couple of my favorite EPMN hides are “Dr. Zefram Cochrane” and “Battery Knot Included!”. Carol also operates the best Geocoin bank in the SW metro called “Chancellor of the Exchequery Geocoin Exchange Bank”. When ever I go to WNC I always look forward to seeing Carol as she rarley misses. She is also a SW Metro FTF hound and we run into each other frequently on FTF runs. The running joke between us is that Carol always ends up STF when I am FTF … Not so funny to Carol and she let’s me know that! Like RD35, Carol gives back to the geocaching community by being a regular organizer of WNC. She was recently elected to the MNGCA board where I’m sure she will continue to make a difference.

Take Victoria Dr. (County Rd. 11) from Hwy 5 or Hwy 7 and turn west on Grimm Rd. Park at either the Horse Trail or Springfield Group Camp parking lot. [LINK TO MAP] This cache is easily accessible from the trail system and can be found on foot or by bicycle. The cache is also near the horse trail, which is used for cross country skiing in the winter. This cache should be findable in all seasons. A nice complement of swag has been placed with the original contents of the container. Kids and dogs are always welcome. Please re-hide the cache well, so it doesn’t get muggled.

Most important have fun and enjoy Carver Park Reserve!
