The Seven Dwarfs' Cottage is nestled deep in the woods in Rib Mountain!! Unfortunately Dopey, who has the key to the cottage, left his GPS at home and has no idea how to get back to the cottage. Your job is to find Bashful, Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy and get the coordinates to Dopey, who will give you the key to get into the Seven Dwarf's cottage so everyone can get home!
So heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's off to work you go, treking around the new trails on the North side of Rib Mountain - Turkey Vulture Trail, Quarry Trail, Homestead Trail, and Road Trail. All of the caches are hidden fairly close to the trail and all are winter friendly so head out and enjoy the trails!
The entire series will probably take about 2 hours, maybe less, maybe more depending on how quickly you choose to go. If you go in winter bring your snowshoes - should be a good workout! You may also notice a few interesting stone structures on your way around the trails here - these are homesteads from the 1850's built by German settlers. There are plans to preserve these structures and at some point add historical markers to the sights as well.
Please be aware that hunting is permitted at Rib Mountain State Park.Please observe the park hours - the park is open from 6am-11pm daily.
