Geocache Description:

This is the second in a series of caches (to be continued…) throughout the Chataigneraie (Chestnut tree) region, with its sleepy villages, leafy forests and typical architecture.

The cache is hidden near the 'Chapelle du Pont', a 12th Century chapel, with 14th/15th Century frescoes. Although it's possible to drive almost right up to the Chapel, if you feel like going for a short walk through the leafy forest with its chestnut, oak and beech trees, follow the directions below (about 3kms round trip).

Park in the small hamlet of 'Le Ramier' (5kms from Boisset) where the path begins at N 44°45.168', E 002°16.369' (Next to the ruins of a small stone building).

Carry on descending the path through the forest. When you arrive at the picturesque river Rance, cross the road and follow the signs to the 'Chapelle du Pont'.

The chapel is open to visitors at certain times to see the frescoes, information is available at the town hall (Mairie) in Leynhac
