Placed inside the historic race track circuit of Brooklands, this cache will take the seeker back in time to the nostalgic days of the early 1900's when the Locke King family built the first banked racing circuit in the world. Later, during WWII, the airfield within the circuit saw the building of many iconic planes of the era; namely Wellington bombers, Hurricanes, and Sir Barnes Wallis worked on his bouncing bomb here. This cannot do justice to the history and a visit to the nearby museum is recommended. Mercedes Benz World will also give you an eye opening experience
Parking is available nearby at N51 20'.629 W000 28'.295. This is an easy walk for families, giving good views of the track and runway. Depending on the season, you may be able to see between the trees across the road to the white building, the 1930s control tower for the runway.
Please replace cache carefully, re-hiding essential!
