Geocache Description:

A 5 stage Multi cache that requires basic math skills. The final is an Ammo can.



My friend launched this series in Georgia. This is #4 and by far the most challenging.

Imagine you are out running errands. One stop is to fill up with a beverage and fuel for your vehicle. You can find all the things you need here at stage 1, including items you may need to repair your vehicle.

Stage 1

Here you will find a sign. Locate the 7 digit number at the base that is not a phone number. You will use that number to calculate the next stage. You will also need this number later so don't skip it.

7 digit number= F

To find the coordinates for stage 2 add the seven digits together. Answer is A. Use A in the following formula to get the coordinates for stage 2.

Stage 2 North= Stage 1 North +(A + 415)

Stage 2 West= Stage 1 West + (874 - A )

(Decimal places are assumed so you will only work with the last 3 or 4 digits in the coordinates.)

Stage 2.

You get to this destination and unload the items from the trunk. You thought you heard some loud bangs on the way home and as you unload your items you look on the right side (Passenger side) and see some bullet holes! Wow! When did that happen.

Question. How many bullet holes do you see in the right side quarter panel. One hole is less than 3 inches from the ground. (It's probably as close as 1 inch from the ground) Don’t count that one since it will be too hard to find in the winter and as the mud gathers up the side. # of bullet holes in the rear passenger side quarter panel.= B

For the sake of this exercise here is a picture highlighting a quarter panel. It usually includes all the metal behind the rear door and from the back tail light area up to the beginning of the roof line.



In order to find the coordinates for Stage 3 work out the following formula. Stage 3 North coordinates= Stage 2 North coordinates + (A*B+51) Stage 3 West coordinates= Stage 2 West coordinates + (A*B+47)

I have changed the numbers here to produce a more accurate reading for Stage 3. The coordinates were provided by Troye70. If you still have trouble but have better coordinates please send them along. I moved the north by - .007 and the West by - ,004

Stage 3.

Here you will find a 4 digit number written for you to calculate your next destination. 4 Digit number = G Add the four digits together to get a new number. Call that C

To arrive at stage 4 calculate the following. Stage 4 North= Stage 3 North - (A + B + C + 22) Stage 4 West= Stage 3 West - (A + B + C - 39)

Stage 4.

As you park you thought something didn't sound right so you decided to have a look under the hood. You see the problem is a little more than a quick fix so you get the 7 digit number as well as the two letters to aid in your repair.

Have a seat somewhere and work on this math.

7 Digit number = H Add up the 7 digit numbers (H) together to produce D

The Final.

You will need two final numbers. Y and Z.

To get Y calculate this formula.

(F+G+H)=E

Add up all the digits in E to give you a new number. Call that number K

Y = K-32

To get Z calculate this formula.

Z=(A + B + C +D) - 54

You will need all the information you gathered. Work on this formula.

Final coordinates North = Stage 4 North - Y

Final coordinates West = Stage 4 West + Z
