[EN] A short multi-cache in the heart of Bologna
Piazza Maggiore, Nettuno e Palazzo d'Accursio
ITALIAN DESCRIPTION (ENGLISH BELOW)
Le coordinate puntano al primo stadio, sotto al portico tra Palazzo Re Enzo e Palazzo del Podestà, quì scoprirete una delle curiosità di Bologna, ci sono quattro colonne con in cima quattro santi diversi, collegate da due archi in diagonale, se due persone si posizionano in corrispondenza delle due colonne collegate dallo stesso arco e provano a parlare, con la bocca rivolta verso l'angolo (quindi entrambi dandosi le spalle e parlando contro al muro), per effetto della propagazione acustica, l'altra persona sarà in grado di sentire perfettamente quella che parla come se la voce provenisse direttamente da dietro al muro, provatelo!
Una volta finito di fare i vostri esperimenti, alzate la testa, dovreste vedere due iscrizioni in cima agli archi, una delle due riporta il nome "PAVLLO QVINTO" e un anno in cifre romane sull'ultima riga, vi servirà per calcolare le coordinate dello stadio successivo, che si trova a:
N 44°29.xxx'
E 011°20.yyy'
dove xxx = anno - 930 e
yyy = anno - 1060
Queste coordinate vi porteranno all'ingresso di un edificio, poco distante da dove vi trovate, entrate e dirigetevi al primo piano, a questo punto avrete probabilmente dato un senso al titolo del cache, ci saranno dei computer a disposizione di tutti, utilizzatene uno per rintracciare la posizione dello stadio finale.
Il posto sarà letteralmente pieno di muggles ma probabilmente la maggior parte di loro sarà abbastanza impegnata, cercate quindi di essere cauti e non disturbarli, loro ve ne saranno grati e voi non darete nell'occhio.
L'edificio non è sempre aperto, rispetta i seguenti orari:
- da Martedì a Venerdì 10:00 - 20:00
- Sabato 10:00 - 19:00
NOTA: alcune festività potrebbero modificare i giorni o gli orari di apertura, se state pianificando una visita e avete qualche dubbio, contattatemi e potrò confermare l'apertura o meno.

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION (ITALIAN ABOVE)
The cache coordinates take you to the first stage, under the porch between Palazzo Re Enzo and Palazzo del Podestà, here you'll discover one of the many curiosities of Bologna, there are four columns with four statues representing different saints. These columns are connected by two diagonal arcs, if two people places themselves one in front of each column connected by the same arc and one of them tries to speak with the mouth toward the corner (in other words, both facing opposite directions and speaking toward the wall), due to the propagation of sound, the other person will be able to perfectly hear the speaking person just as the voice would came directly from behind the wall, try it!
Once you're done with the experiments, raise your heads, you should see two inscriptions on the top of the arcs, one of the two has the name "PAVLLO QVINTO" on it and a year written in roman numbers on the last line, you'll need the year to calculate the next stage coordinates, which is at:
N 44°29.xxx'
E 011°20.yyy'
where xxx = year - 930 and
yyy = year - 1060
These coordinates will take you in front of a building, really close to where you are, enter it and go to the first floor, at this point you'll probably have understood the meaning of the cache title, there will be some computers available to everybody, use one in order to locate the final stage.
The place will be literally packed with muggles but probably most of them will be minding their own businesses, so be careful and try not to disturb them, they will be grateful and you won't be noticed.
The building is not always accessible, you need to respect these opening hours:
- from Tuesday to Friday 10:00am - 8:00pm
- Saturday 10:00am - 7:00pm
NOTE: public holidays might change the opening days and times, if you are planning a visit and have any doubt, get in touch with me and I can confirm whether the building will be open or not.
