LES CANAUX DE LA MOSELLE
L'histoire de la canalisation de la Moselle est assez complexe. Sa première canalisation au XIXe siècle, de Frouard à Metz, était constituée d'une alternance de rivière aménagée et de dérivations en site propre, nommées parfois "canal Latéral à la Moselle" ou "canal de la Moselle". Lors du passage au grand gabarit européen, certaines de ces dérivations furent agrandies, tandis que d'autres étaient abandonnées au profit de barrages éclusés sur la rivière elle-même.

THE CHANNELS OF THE MOSELLE
The history of the pipe of the Moselle is rather complex. His first pipe in the XIXth century, from Frouard to Metz, was constituted of an alternation of river done up and of derivations in clean site, named sometimes "Lateral channel in the Moselle" or "channel of the Moselle". During passage in big European size, some of these derivations were extended, while others were left to the advantage of dams locked through on the very river.
