6/10/11: Cache replaced at original drop location

After a month of searching I have come upon a lead to another stash that may lead to Dossier #XXX2. Looking over my mentors notebook it appears that four years ago he had retrieved information from a drop made somewhere near Haddon Township, NJ in the early 1990s. Other than that I had no idea where to begin looking for this drop until several days ago, when I received the case file on this case in the mail from an unknown source.

The first thing in the file was a statement saying that the drop was made by an agent known only as Oren, and his affiliation was unknown. However it mentioned that he was born in 1961, and a psychological profile done on him reviled he had a tendency to look down on things first.

This is where things got interesting. Apparently the agency came upon a cassette tape labeled “conference 31”, a transcript of which was included in the file. The file indicated that the tape was known to have been made two before Oren made the drop. The transcript was very brief and contained the voices of only two people, one male and one female. It read as follows:

Female Voice: “We have another drop for you to make, this one requiring specific urgency, it needs to be made within the next five days.” Male voice: “In that case I will tell Homer to be ready; he just got his engine fixed.” Female voice: “I only have a partial fix on where they want the drop right now, and the full information you need will be given to you by eighteen hundred tomorrow. Interestingly enough they had to drag my father into this” she said almost laughingly. “Papa said this morning he is going down to the Delta.” Male voice: “ah so that (static),” the rest of the tape was apparently cut off.

Stapled to the transcript was a photo. It showed what appeared to be a hand holding an index card. The picture appears to have been taken from a good distance away because the only thing really in focus is the note card, Oren`s instructions? The card contained the following lines of bold text:

NWOWL RCIEH OFESO YUILE EVTEF ST
DREDA CRCOT NOITE FINES CUAYF ETFFE NT
BTIYU AEHTP YHSOH VTEYE

At the top and bottom of the card were lines small, barley decipherable text (mostly numbers) written in them. The top line contained the following:

45153413411525421345322221131544324225111541131511454451133235114342134232421334125345

and the line at the bottom of the card contained these:

411534132344431212433242454531441313413235131124444341211315224342

The only other thing in the file was a photocopy of a memo which read:
To: ***********
From: Agent **** (my mentor)
Subject:Oren
Got film from Haddon Twp drop. Ran into trouble initially since what they used has been replaced, darn technology. Luckily they slipped up and used our port for the info. Left what needed to be left. Oren was good I`ll give him that.

With the information contained in this file, I believe you have all the information you need to locate and retrieve the “stash.” Once you have accomplished this, it is critical that replace the stash as you found it. You must also not leave a trace your being there, as we cannot affoard to have civilians stumble upon the drop site. Good Luck!

The PMC2 is a series of fiendishly difficult puzzle created by 18 of the best Puzzle Masters in the Mid-Atlantic Region. In each of these caches you will find a user name and password. After you enter each user name and password into the site listed below, you will be taken to a page with a short puzzle and ultimately a final puzzle piece. Assemble these pieces and find the final cache!

BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY HERE

This series is designed to lead you on an epic adventure that will require Master puzzle-solving skills and extensive travel to unique locations. You must travel and log in at each cache in order to claim a find on the final. Due to the extensive time and effort put into this challenge, the cache can be done as a group but each member of the group must go to each cache site and sign each log. Dividing into sub groups and pooling their efforts will not be allowed.

All 18 caches will be released sporadically between now and the EVENT to be held in June. To make them easy to find we have created a WEBSITE that will have a complete list of all the available PMC caches in all 4 series as they are published.
