Geocache Description:

Bring your own pen.

This type of cache is currently all the rage in the Lower Mainland (thanks graf and geo_canuck77). I am bringing it to Prince George with this series. This cache is not for everyone. Please only climb the tree if it is within your physical abilities and comfort zone!

About this Tree: This is a green lodgepole pine, which in this area is very rare. I don't know how it survived the mountain pine beetle infestation. It is located adjacent a major thoroughfare and is within viewing distance of the art gallery. So practice your being stealthy while climbing a tree skills.

"Rule" for FTF: If two or more cachers are sharing FTF they ALL must climb the tree and sign the log themselves.

"Rule" for normal logging: Those cachers that that aren't physically able to climb the tree can get someone else to climb up the tree and log the cache for them.

Photos of cachers climbing the tree would be highly appreciated.

Some tips for climbing a tree safely:

  1. Always look for a sturdy branch, not a skinny one, to support your weight.
  2. Wear gloves.
  3. Branches are strongest near the trunk.
  4. Use your legs more than you use your arms, as it is much less tiring.
  5. Wear some old clothes in case the tree that you are climbing is pitching out. You don't want to ruin your good clothes!
