In the Applegate lake area.
The trail is FS # 919, The Mule Mountain Trail.
The cache is a PB jar.
About 2.5 mile hike I think.
There is only one cache in this area, in my mountain biking riding that, pushed me way up the trail and I saw this peak, Mule peak, right off the trail.
Will not just off the trail, but about .25 mile up the hill from the trail.
You will have to bushwhack the 1/4 up. to the cache.
You will turn left off the trail at this coordinates, 42* 05.100 123* 04.617
The cache is a PB jar with trade items and log, book.
The parking is alone side the rode, just look for the sign laying on the ground next to the small gate, make sure you close the gates you go through. Keeps the farmers happy.
As you go up the trail, you'll come to a fork in the trail, stay left, the right is the the mule creek trail much longer way to go, about 10 + miles.
