Once again the Berrycrew has made the shocking discovery of a second Portal to the Underworld! This is along the main trail also known as Russel Peak Trail. Who knows what unearthly creature lies in wait in the dark deep emptiness of these Portals? What has been the fate of mortal souls over mellinia who have dared peer into the Darkness? Occasionaly the terrified scream of a poor soul will echo through the hills of Briones. A wild coyote? The wind whistling through the trees? The screech of a red tailed hawk? Or the echo of trapped souls escaping through the Portals? Where do these Portals leads to? Are they connected to one Ultimate Source? Do you posses the fortitude and conviction of faith to reach deep into thisPortal? Timid souls need not pass this way! On the happy side of things, this Geocache contains all of the elements that make Geocaching so awesome. An ammo box stuffed with cool swag, (including one impossibly rare Berry Crew Baseball signed by the B.Crew!). A vigorous hike along the rollar coaster trials of Briones. Abundant wildlife, spectacular panoramic views, fossil rich rock walls, pungent native sage gardens...You get the idea!!!! The best way to access this cache is to start on Upper Happy Valley Rd. and look for Wellsey Drive, (Wellsey is a private driveway, so park on a turn-out on Upper Happy Valley Rd. ). Enjoy the awesome Briones scenary, wild life and views!
