Geocache Description:

This is a magnetic nano located near the Hythe railway station in Colchester, Essex.

Hythe railway station serves the eastern areas of Colchester. To the west of the station there is a triangle of lines with three junctions. The two lines lead to Colchester Town and Colchester.

During September 2008 work started on extending both platforms at Hythe so all trains on the Clacton/Walton branch could stop here without blocking the level crossing at the end of the station. The cache location gives a good view of the level crossing.

This cache is part of the SideTracked series. For further information, please see the related webpage.
