Geocache Description:

Faskally Wood has some very interesting trees and small plantations as it was the Forestry Commission’s training ground for many years. It is now a delightful spot, criss-crossed with paths and tracks.

This series makes much of the many interesting rock formations and outcrops throughout the woods and is intended to take you away from the busier sections.
Possibly part of Wade’s Great North Road from Dunkeld to Inverness that still survives in places, although mostly built over by (what’s since become the old) A9. Some of the bridges of this and the Second Road North from Crieff are part of a Lottery funded conservation project being undertaken by Perth & Kinross Heritage Trust - . But not this little, forgotten gem.

Cache is a 1.1 ltr box and the contents include.

secret notebook
mini radio
keyring torch
water pistol
fancy eraser
bouncy ball
propelling pencil
mini highlighter
mini biro
handbag mirror
folding ruler

please swap fairly

This cache is one of many to be hidden gradually from now until the Mega 2010 Perth. A series of caches to be hidden right in the heart of Perthshire Big Tree Country. More information can be found by clicking on the banner and the website above.
