Located on a parcel of land once occupied by an oil company, this area is now part of a waterfront restoration project Developed by the City of Roslyn and the Town of North Hempstead. The developers constructed housing for independent seniors here with dining and other amenities. In conjunction with the developers agreement, a waterfront promenade was constructed starting with a footpath on Bryant Ave, and extending down to the waters edge in what is known as Roslyn Creek, which is on the southern end of Hempstead Harbor.
Strollers can watch beautiful waterfowl in the summer months, and fishermen assemble here at high tide for some Striped Bass excitement.
Since the cache was placed, extensive shrub growth near GZ has prompted me to up the terrain rating. Be careful in your travels at GZ.
Cache is a small waterproof container, easily spotted if your at the right angle.
