Geocache Description:

Saturday, May 1. ** New cachers are welcome and encouraged to join us. ** Time: 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This is an ALL Central Ohio Geocaching event, so everyone is invited! The more, the merrier. We hope to have cachers from Dublin to Lancaster, from Newark to Chillicothe and Circleville, and from anywhere else!!!

If you don't know the history of geocaching, check out (visit link) as it will give you a general idea of what we are celebrating.

We are having the event at Three Creeks Metro Park at 3860 Bixby Road, Groveport, OH 43125. We have spoken with the rangers and they are expecting us and have been MORE than accommodating for our event. We are ironing out the details with them, and once those details are set in stone, you will see them here. Be sure to put this event in your watchlist, as updates to the page will be accompanied by notes, so you will see the details as they become finalized.

The time of the event will be 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No food or drinks will be provided, but feel free to bring food for your family and have a picnic with the rest of the geocachers and their families!

Here is the tentative schedule:

11:00 - 12:30 - Lunch and meet and greet. There will be games, including Washeroos!
11:30 - Tree climbing techniques (if you want a lesson or feel you could help give lessons, please be a part!)
12:00 - Puzzle solving techniques (if you want a lesson or feel you could help give lessons, please be a part!)
12:30 - 1:00 - Organized games and picture time. If you can video or take pictures, make sure you do! Groundspeak wants to see our event!
1:00 - 2:45 - Contests! Including hunts, puzzles, tree climbs, etc.
2:45 - all cachers who want in on the drawing have to be back by 2:45 with hunt sheets!!!

YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS. This is only one of thousands of 10 year anniversary events being held all around the world!!!

We will be taking a MASSIVE group photo of us and our geocaching gear (bring anything you regularly use when geocaching to make this picture representative of the COG community!) It would also be cool to wear geocaching attire, or clothes that match the geocaching colors (the ones in the geocaching logo).

Restrooms and a playground are nearby, and there are a number of nearby caches (including some being prepared and planted as you are reading this!!!) There is also an "Natural Play Area" (visit link) in the park, where tree and rock climbing, digging in the dirt, and exploring nature are ENCOURAGED!!!

A 10 year anniversary only happens once... DO NOT MISS OUT!!!

Big congrats to BuckeyeBeth for reaching milestone 200 and Team JNLE4 for reaching 1400 with us at this event!!!
