Geocache Description:

We can't drive by historical markers. When we came by this one today we had to stop and it just seemed logical to bring others here with a cache hide.

Take a minute to read the marker dedicated to Charles Christmas. In 1852 he was elected as the first county surveyor for Hennepin County and was responsible for plating the first town site for Minneapolis. Christmas Lake is named for him. Lots of
history on this marker.

Enjoy this nice area.
