How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

In Celebration of Ten Years of Geocaching come out and enjoy the company of fellow cachers in Adelaide. We can trade coins, stories, and maybe even go out and get some caches before and after the event!!

On 3rd May 2000 the first cache was hidden by Dave Ulmer.

On Monday 8th March 2010 the number of active caches worldwide exceeded one million.

This is your opportunity to meet friends old and new to share your caching stories, your coin collections, have some fun and even some new caches.

We will meet at the listed co-ordinates for an afternoon gathering starting from 15:00. The area is GeoKid and GeoDog friendly.

We will take a Group Photo at 16:00, this is an important part of the requirements for a '10 Years! Event', in order for the event (and you) to receive the 'special' 10 year event icon. Please wear something 'Australian' for the photo. Be creative; green and gold, inflatable kangaroos, flags, etc.

Stay for as long as you want, no time restrictions on this one.

We hope to see you all there :-)

Some Activities on the day:
* Face-painting by schatzsuche1
* Birthday Cake by Beagle and Me
* Cupcakes by Team Wibble??
