Geocache hidden within the Loxahatchee Slough natural area off the Bee-Line (SR-710) in Palm Beach Gardens. This isn't your grandmothers park-n-grab. This cache is *EXTREME* and depending on the time of year, difficulty levels will change. You'll have to work for this one!

This cache is part 1 of a series intended for the serious geocacher who likes to go deep woods cache hunting. You will need a *lot* of water, energy foods, bug spray & sun screen.
This cache is the closest to the parking area off the Bee-Line gate entry. (Do Not block the gate) Other caches are in the area too.
Plan on getting very wet, pack in dry clothing/shoes. If you go for the other cache in this series, plan on making the day out of it. You'll be crossing through some very diverse terrain that changes every mile of travel. Interesting animals from ferral pigs, deer, alligators, sandhill crane, blue herons and many different small birds populate the area. Be sure to take in the quiet sound of the area.
Previously cut forestry trails will bring you relatively close to this cache location. You will need to use your best judgement on how to reach the island and where to make it in.
Be sure to note/mark your start location before heading off since the view from the island can make all surrounding areas look the same.
Pen and notepad are tied to the cache. Be safe and remember there are animals & insects out here that can bite!
