GeocacheAlaska!: It's been four weeks since this event was held, so it's time to archive it to keep it from appearing in cachers' pocket queries. The course materials may be found at the GeocacheAlaska! website on the education page. Many thanks to the Education Committee for their ongoing efforts to push the technology to tie Alaskan geocachers together.

Geocache Description:

Meet fellow cachers and learn about Cache Submittal FUNdamentals from experienced geocachers on Thursday, May 13, beginning at 6:45 p.m., at the Kenai Peninsula College, in Room 201 of the Walter E. Ward building.

Please bring your favorite nonalcoholic beverage to share with cachers, but don't bring food as that will incur extra room cleaning charges.

Please arrive on time, because the college is on summer hours and someone will be holding the door open for the participants. Up front administrative details will then be handled and announcements made, allowing the course content to start at 7:00 p.m. Adding a "Will Attend" log to this page will assure enough hard copy handouts are printed for the event participants.

There will be a free-will offering cache container at the event to help defray the costs of hosting these FUNdamentals events.

This FUNdamentals session will walk participants through completing the online cache listing form and many of the special features that will help your cache page stand out and enhance the experience for cachers seeking your cache.  The event will be hosted in Anchorage and transmitted to remote locations in Wasilla, Valdez, and Soldotna via WebEx.  Please place a watch on this event page to stay appraised of the final details.

Victoria Noble, aka blazingpathways, and Michael Malvick, aka Ladybug Kids, will present Cache Submittal FUNdamentals in a fast-paced PowerPoint presentation.  The course content will not exceed thirty minutes with time at the end for questions and answers.  The presentation will cover:
