Geocache Description:

PLEASE NOTE: this series will be archived on Monday 14th November 2011. It's time to open up the area for others.

The Burgo & Beans series is a roundwalk of a little over 7 miles between Newton Burgoland and Barton in the Beans. Uses public footpaths, including part of the Leicestershire Round, and a stretch of the Ashby-de-la-Zouche Canal towpath. Mostly gentle walking with no steep inclines. Parts can be muddy.

There is a Bonus cache you can try for, Chips Or Salad With That?, if you keep your wits about you.

There is limited parking on the roadside in Barton in the Beans (see waypoint), and at present (Summer 2011) parking is possible on waste ground nearby - see the Bonus cache for coords.

You are seeking a very small camouflaged testtube.

The footpath starts (disconcertingly) in someone's back yard, but you very quickly reach a stile and are on the path proper.

Shorts wearers should note that the 80m path to this first cache can get quite overgrown and nettly!

All navigation information provided throughout the series is based on the assumption that you are doing the caches in numerical order.
