Fabian Huerter Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Iowa.Landmark: This cache is being archived, at least temporarily, to allow publication of a new series of geocaches placed by, and sponsored by Warren County Conservation and naturalist Logan Roberts. Please feel free to contact Ms. Roberts via e-mail to loganroberts [at] warrenccb [dot] org if you have any questions.

Warren County Conservation has placed a new set of themed caches in public areas managed by WCCB and related agencies. These caches, in their second year, are likely to become an annual feature in the county but they will only be available from April into November. It may be possible to have this cache unarchived in November so that it can be available for cachers to find in the winter months. If you wish to pursue this option please coordinate with Ms. Roberts and inform me (Iowa.Landmark) as well.

Ms. Roberts may be able to assist you with retrieval of your geocache container and log whether or not you elect to have it unarchived for winter. Please contact her for assistance if needed.

Warren County would like to encourage geocaching in the lands they manage, but with a little more oversight than in the past. To that end the WCCB has published requirements for geocache placement at the bottom of their geocaching web page at http://www.warrenccb.org/geocaching. The policy and permit form can also be obtained directly at http://www.warrenccb.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/Warren-County-Geocaching-Policy1.pdf.

Thank you for your attention and understanding. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Geocache Description:

You are looking for a camo'ed pill bottle.
Placed while getting another cache in the area.
I placed on an overcast evening and could only get a 20' accuracy.

This is located near a memorial structure that was placed for a long time Warren County Conservation employee. It was dedicated on July 11, 1989. Fabian passes on to the lord on November 14, 2001 at the age of 87.

This is a nice quite park away from it all. there are hiking trails, Primitive camping areas, and a small look out area. You should be able to see nature in this area. I hadn't been out here for years since the boys are no longer young enough for scout camp outs. It was refreshing to visit the area again.
