I was in Edgar last weekend with the Scouts, and decided that Edgar
really should have a cache. While there we did a small service
project, cleaning up branches from a recent clearing of brush and
trees around the ponds. Take the time to walk around the whole
park, maybe go for a swim or wet a line. Cache contains only a log.
BYOP Park is closed from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am.
From the Edgar Parks web site: This 10.3 acre park was built on
land donated to the Village in May of 1984. The park contains four
spring-fed ponds which were initially developed for raising
minnows. The park facilities include a shelter, restrooms and
changing area, grills, picnic tables, children's playground
equipment, grass volleyball court, and walking/jogging trails. A
1.75 acre pond with a sand beach has been developed for swimming.
The other ponds have fish planted in them.
