This 18-acre community park is directly adjacent to the Mississippi River. It incorporates the natural beauty of a wooded flood plain area with passive recreation, including a 1.7 mile paved trail through a beautiful natural prairie flower area. The playground structure is in the form of a boat, reminding users of the parks connection with the Mississippi River.

This park can accomodate large groups. There is ample parking (approximately 100 stalls). Each shelter accomodates up to 25 people. This is a great location for family picnics, graduation parties, and even weddings!
It also is a head of the Mississippi River Trail, that extends southward along the Mississippi river through St Paul.
