Christmas in May
How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
Another cache at the Cortlandt Recreation area.
We called this cache Christmas in May for 2 reasons:
1. I received this ammo can for Christmas. It's taken us until May to find a nice place to hide it!
2. At Christmastime, we found Sonoluminous' wonderful cache "Aidan's Christmas Cache", in CT. OUR Aidan wanted to hide a Christmas cache of his own. So..... here it is, in May.
We first discovered these trails while looking for a place to hide our first cache. (Tennis Anyone? GC1Y1B9) We have since discovered that the trails are much more extensive than we thought, so another cache was necessary! (Although a friend of ours hid a letterbox nearby, if you happen to like letterboxing too.)
You are looking for a standard ammo can. The trail will lead you close, but you will do a bit of bushwhacking for the last 150' or so.
Parking is available at the Cortlandt Recreation area on Croton Ave. The park is only open until Dusk (Do you hear me Bacmac? ) and it boasts a playground as well as basketball and tennis courts. Feel free to enjoy those amenities as well!
We've also started out 3 Travel Bugs from this cache.... they're in a race, so if you find them, move them on!!
Thanks, and happy hunting!
Congratulations to SintSinck on FTF!!!!!
