This cache is a 35mm film pot placed at ground level. The public footpath is fairly well made so it might be possible for wheelchair cachers to get to this geneal area, but not the last few feet to the cache.
Recommended parking: N 50° 53.914 E 000° 31.490
The published co-ordinates are for the locaion of the cache and for the approximate location of the WW2 Telham Out-Station underground hideout a little way to the west.
There is also a large tree, partly fallen down, with a hidden aerial cable in it. You can see where the cable enters the tree about 1m above ground level on the west side. You can also see the cable at the top of the tree - due to it having fallen down. There also appears to be a woodpecker's hole near to this part of the cable.
The entrance to the hideout is near to the public footpath so it is easy to see the hideout site up close. Unfortunately, it is very overgrown, and collapsed, so there is not much to see unless you take a flamethrower - DON'T.
You can however gain lots of very interesting information and good pictures regarding this and other underground hideouts by searching:
Telham (Sussex) Out-Station.
Many thanks to Stewart A for making me aware of this location.
