greyhounder: Due to flooding, only able to access from the east (eastish, anyway). The river is super high all around the artesian well. And trees have been removed. Might replace this with a new cache once the water recede -- we'll see. I've had 2 hides in this area, and 3 or 4 containers. I think this spot might be cursed, so it may be time to look up or down the road.

Geocache Description:

The cache is a black metal pill container -- a larger version of a bison tube. This road is frequent flooded -- a large section of it was impassible when the cache was hidden. We were able to drive right up to the area this time though. This cache will hopefully be safe from high water!

Legislature established the Rustic Roads program in 1973 to
preserve what remains of Wisconsin's scenic, lightly traveled

R84 parallels the Bark River. This route features wooded areas and agricultural vistas. In the summer, a popular stop for outdoor enthusiasts is the unique artesian drinking fountain located halfway along the route. Native vegetation and wildlife including deer, turkey, cranes, hawks, and owls abound.
