This one is named after my dad. This would be his home turf.
I have not seen any hides like this in the Cedar Rapids area yet, but there are a few in Des Moines. If you have not seen a hide like this, it might take a while, but chances are it won't be too difficult.
My dad was not known for being creative, but had a creative streak that came out every once in a while. I take after him in a lot of ways, hence my original geo-name. I think he would have loved geocaching. He was the kind of person that loved a challenge. He would be the type that would go after the tougher hides and puzzle caches. He made numerous bets that he could only smoke one cigarette a week for a whole year, and won every one. He did quit for good eventually, but not soon enough for my sister and I.
If you see someone pulling out of a garage nearby in a dark blue V-dub, wave, it's my mom. She will know what you are doing.
You will need to bring something to write with. You do not need to go into any yards for this one. In your online log of this cache, please write something about your adventure to get here. I, and other cachers, would really appreciate it.
Congratulations to ntblattner1 for his first FTF!
