CarnFUNnock
This event has been organised for kids aged 0 to 200 @
Carnfunnock Country Park
Between 11am to 2pm on the 21 August 2010.
This event is open to all, but has been arranged to thank all
the Geokids for being patient with their parents’ obsession
and for the long hours of caching they go on some days.
Please feel free to bring any friends or children you know who
are non-cachers (let’s get the word of caching out
there).
You don’t need to bring a child to log this event (but I
am sure you could borrow one with their parent’s consent if
you want to come for the games but are ashamed to admit it).
We would love it if the kids would come in fancy dress (and
adults too as long as it’s decent!!)
On the day we are planning
- Games (tug of war etc)
- Fancy dress contest
- A treasure hunt for the kids with
special containers and gifts.
- Face painting
- General Geochat and banter.
We have booked our own private area with covered picnic tables
within the park to keep the sun/rain off. Please bring your own
picnic lunch.
If you would like please bake or make something to eat to share,
if possible get the kids involved.
Carnfunnock Country Park is packed full of exciting and unusual
attractions. There is over 191 hectares of mixed woodland,
colourful gardens, walking trails and coastline, not forgetting its
spectacular panoramic views of the Antrim Coast and North
Channel.
Features in the Park include a maze, walled garden, a miniature
train ride, an adventure playground, trampolines, putting greens,
karts, face painting, a bungee run, a bouncy castle, remote control
boats to name but a few ...
