At the entrance of Lynches River Park. The Rangers and staff are Geocaching friendly so you may get a "Did you find it?' if they spot you walking around.
This park centered around scenic Lynches River has a community building for weddings, reunions, and bluegrass concerts on the first weekend of each month. During the summer the splash pad is open - it's a favorite for kids and parents alike. Canoes are available, and there is an outfitter nearby in case you'd prefer to venture out with a guide. There is an archery range in a realistic wooded setting that is free and open to the public daily 9am until sunset, and the cabins at the park are a great place to disconnect. The Environmental Discovery Center mixes technology with nature. You'll find screens showing remote cameras at feeding stations, the varied readings from two weather stations - one under the protection of the lush canopy and one in the open parking lot, and a projection microscope to get a close-up look at your natural treasures.
A large pet food container. Blue and red ribbons for first and second to find.
