Our first river cache placement with our new canoe.
A short katak or canoe ride down the Housatonic river will bring you here. I picked a spot that was easy to beach your boat.I don't think you can get to it from the land to the west as it looks pretty swampy. As we placed this cache Marlaina looked across and down the river and said "Look Dad. That tree looks like the Tree of Life!" (A refferernce to the tree in the Disney movie "The Lion King"). Although this isn't her Tree of Life it's close to it.
This is a small lock n lock big enough for some small TBs. It is placed high enough so the high water won't wash it away. There were 3 beavers next to it on our return trip so I don't know if the plastic lock n lock is safe. We will see. Worst case is another trip in the new (used) canoe to replace it.
