Geocache Description:

The Pfitscher Joch is an old way to cross the main ridge of the alps. Since the year 1919 it is part of the border between Austria and Italy. Because of that border crossing was prohibited for a long time.
Today the Pfitscher Joch is a popular goal for hikers. It can be reached from the Schlegeis reservoir (parking area) in about 2 hours. It is also often reached by bike as it is on one route of the Via Alpina.
The cache is near the old, now useless, huts of the borderguard.

Happy Hunting!
