Why the name??? Well right before the floods in July of 2010, I went out on my mountain bike to rescue some caches before the gates at Saylorville Dam were wide open...at 21,000 cfs. Well I got out when the flow rate was around 18,000 cfs...Too late.
The water was already on the trail and I mean in some spots about 8 inches or more. Funny thing happened as I'm powering through the water on the bike CARP are just sitting on the bike trail. There were so many CARP that I thought for sure that I was going to hit one with my tire. It was an amazing thing to see. I would never experienced this if it wasn't for this great hobby of geocaching.
